Hello, I am 34 fairly healthy female. I have hoshimotos and recently switched to a new endocrinologist because i felt my regular doctor was not helping me get better. The main complete was that I am always tired and gained some weight. I am a school teacher but my tired lately seems even more. Anyway new doc did bloodwork and it came back vitamin D deficient, kind of low b12, upped my prescribed synthroid from 112 to 125 but she was more concerned that my cortisol levels are basically non existent and my WBCs was 1600 with essentially no neutrophils. I have an appointment for a Cosyntropin test Wednesday and an appointment with a hematologists next week. I am bouncing back and forth between it may be nothing it may be serious but not knowing anything is driving me crazy. Any advice or stories??

The Cosyntropin test is what we call ACTH
Broid It would help if you could provide the reference range for your White Blood Count as the US and UK labs tend to use different units of measurement, so it can make a result in isolation of its range, look very weird indeed, between nations!
Hi. I’m sure after your ACTH test they may treat you. I’ve had similar problems this year but got really bad crawling along the floor and collapsed many times. My issue is still not resolved. I truly hope they find the problem for you.
