I hi everyone I'm very new here,I've been having symptoms of being tired forgetting things a pain in my neck that leads to pains in my rib going hot and cold arms feeling numb and loads more!
Went to the doctors last week he said my nodes were swollen and thyroid was enlarged,he took blood tests and they only came back on Friday I asked if he could look aypt them before the weekend as I was worried he did do and said it looked like I had an underactive thyroid and that would explain why I was so tired,I have to go for a neck scan and more bloods this week but I'm still not sure that this is what I've got!
Has anyone else had these symptoms?
I had a hysterectomy 20 years ago when I was 30 so have always had menopausal symptoms and I just thought the hot flushed were a part of that but now I don't think they are,I've also taken my body temp for over a week and it's quite low.
Would love to know if anyone has had the same symptoms
Michelle

Always ask for printed copies of your blood test results and ranges for your own record
List of hypothyroid symptoms, you may be amazed how many you can tick
Many people find Levothyroxine brands are not interchangeable.
Once you find a brand that suits you, best to make sure to only get that one at each prescription. Watch out for brand change when dose is increased or at repeat prescription.
Many patients do NOT get on well with Teva brand of Levothyroxine. Though it is the only one for lactose intolerant patients
Assuming you are prescribed Levothyroxine, always take on empty stomach and then nothing apart from water for at least an hour after.
Many take early morning, on waking, but it may be more convenient and possibly more effective taken at bedtime.
