I'm sorry to hear you're so unwell. Could you visit your GP following on from your hospital visit and ask them to discuss a plan to monitor the thyroid aspect of your condition? Which specialist did you see for thyroid hormone? There should be an endocrinologist who is part of your cancer multi-disciplinary team, is that who you saw?
Hi thank you. The consultant in the hospital came to c me he said 50 t4 and 5 MCG t3 to get thyroid on the move he has booked me in a Solihull hospital to c me in 6 weeks. I hope he helps me I'm so fed up with feeling so I'll knowing I may not have too long don't want to b so miserable. I will start to check which Levi suits me the best learning all the time. Thank you. D x
So sorry you have multiple problems. Looking at your results even without the ranges you look very undermedicated. I wonder if increasing your thyroid medication so upping the Levo would help as the addition of T3 didn't. That should be more gentle for you.
I guess that you are on several different sorts of medication. Taking other medication at the same time as thyroid meds often mean the thyroid meds are not absorbed properly and don't work well. Also most people who have a thyroid problem for a while find they are deficient in Vitamind D, B12, Ferritin (=stored iron) and Folate. Unless these nutrient levels are really healthy (usually half way up the 'normal' range or better) we can't make best use of the thyroid medication. See if you can get your doctor to test these and post the results here (with the ranges) for someone to comment.
Hope things improve for you soon.
