Seems as if you are hypothyroid. Is it Hashimoto's, (the autoimmune version, where you develop antibodies to the thyroid)? That is by far the commonest cause of hypothyroidism and you should have had antibody tests to confirm it.

TSH is likely still too high, and T3 and T4 too low, but can't be sure without the reference ranges (usually shown in brackets after the actual levels).

Have you had your vitamins and minerals tested as well, or any other results?

From what you said about your diet, you could well be anaemic, for example.

I forget the range, would have to look it up, but I still had little energy when my TSH was just under 3. It should probably be 1 or less for most of us to feel well.

Post all the blood results you have, with reference ranges and someone here should be able to advise more, as I am not an expert

Hi Salsybar73, I clicked through another post where you mentioned these numbers.

This TSH is well away from what a person with a healthy thyroid would have. Unfortunately the top of the range is probably 4 or higher, and many doctors won't diagnose until it gets even higher than that, so you will struggle to get diagnosed.

Unless you are very sick with another illness, which can downgrade thyroid function, you very likely are in the early stages of thyroid illness. It's definitely worth getting your antibodies tested, as a positive result will confirm where you are, and you'll know what to expect.

It's a terrible disgrace in how thyroid is diagnosed and treated in our society that many people are left in your state for years :( With your doctor you can be left waiting for things to progress until your blood results cross the line and you get treated.

The main strategies to deal with this are doctor management. Go to your doctor often, see everyone at your practice and get to know those that are good. Take assertive friends if you need to. Make clear that you have symptoms, try to get the anti body test out of them. If this is positive you can use that as leverage. Point out that the TSH is close to the top of the range. I'm no expert in NICE guidance, and that from other places, but keep your eyes out on the forum as you will see advice from knowledgeable members. You may find a tiny crumb there that is useful to make your case and can be taken to your GP. There is also a good recent article by Anthony Toft, the Counterblast.

Besides trying to hassle your doctor to get treatment, you could give up on that and source your own thyroid replacement. If you're 'lucky' your TSH may cross the line in the next year or two and you might find a doctor to treat you with that 'low' result, but you my be unlucky and have to wait many years. It's a real scandal :(
