Am I hyper after increasing NDT?

It was all going well on Thai Thiroyd (other than still feeling slightly tired and bloated), but I increased to 1.5 grains a few days ago (after 1.25 grains for 10 days) and despite feeling ok, my heart is racing and I'm not sleeping well. I felt that 1.25 grains was too low but 1.5 too high? Should I take 1.25 grains one day and 1.5 the next just to even it out?

No, you shouldn't. You can't do that with NDT/T3 and expect good results. You need a steady, continuous dose every day.

I.5 grains NDT isn't a high dose. But, you would really need labs to tell you if you were over-medicated (not hyper, you can't become hyper if you're hypo.) Perhaps you increased too soon? Or, do you have Hashi's?

I took 1 grain for 10 days, 1.25 grains for 10 days and now 1.5 grains. I was previously on 100mcg levothyroxine. The fast heart rate is a little scary. 102bpm resting! Should I maybe take 1 grain when I wake at 7am and 0.5 grains around 2pm? I'm currently taking 1 grain before bed and 0.5 grain at 7am. Perhaps that's why I can't sleep?

That is a little too fast. We normally say increase by 1/4 grain every two weeks. You'll have to play around with timing of doses to see what suits you. We're all different, so it's difficult for anyone to tell you what you should do. :)

Change to a morning dose..

I find if I take any NDT later than 5pm it affects my sleep

I take my first dose around 6am and the second around 2.30 pm this works well and does not affect my sleep. Without the results of FT3 it is hard to tell. I increase when first starting every 10 days but perhaps it's to fast for you.
