I wonder if others have had similar experience with treatment for hyperthyroidism.
I have been treated for 17 months with Carbimazole. The latest dose was 7.5mg per day. The most recent blood test shows normal T4 and slightly low T3 and TSH normal. Because I had a skin reaction to Carbimazole (successfully controlled with temporary Piriton) 4 months into treatment and also when my dose needed to be raised slightly again (after it had been lowered from 10 to 5 mg in January and I relapsed to hyperthyroid activity) we decided on a gentle lowering of Carbimazole to 5mg per day and 7.5mg per day alternating. It has become tougher to keep the weight off though, and I have been experiencing dizziness and low blood pressure, particularly during the morning - and even after a mighty mug of coffee. I walk between 7-15 k every day and do aerobics and weights 4 times a week. So I am reasonably fit at 53.
Has anyone experienced low blood pressure during treatment at all? I would welcome comments since these symptoms have only started recently and I have not had another appointment to discuss them with my endocrinologist.
Many thanks!

Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have special offers, Medichecks usually have offers on Thursdays, Blue Horizon its more random
All thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. This gives highest TSH and most consistent results . (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)
Thank you so much for the response. I was tested for Vitamin D and it was fine, and I am fine with Gluten as well. I have reduced (without consulting endo) to 5mg per day but it was still too high. I can barely get out of bed in the morning at the moment and get dizzy. So I have gone down from 7.5 mg to 2.5 and am still feeling hypothyroid. My hair and finger nails and cuticles have also become a mess, with ridges on finger nails and hair dry and brittle. I will try and have a test sooner than scheduled because I am really not doing so well now. I don't have the exact numbers of T3 and T4, he did not put them in the letter but he said my T3 was on the low side. Thank you for the tip with the sport and T3 connection that is very helpful.
