Are my anxiety symptoms stress related or due to my levels?

RhubarbAndCustard profile image

Hi all,

I have just had my latest results back and I was just wondering if the anxiety symptoms I am feeling are related to my levels or if it is genuine stress I am going through at the mo (moving house, awaiting surgery for TT, etc).

T3 - 4.8 (3.5-6.5)

T4 - 13 (9-24)

TSH - 0.95 (0.35-5)

Thanks!

I'd think it is due to your thyroid gland misbehaving and giving you clinical symptoms. Both your T4 and T3 are low so that wont be helpful. Also you are having an operation soon. Thyroid hormones enables our metabolism to work normally and yours are not at present optimum with both T3 and T4 being low.

Thanks for your post, I feel like I'm going mad. Especially, when I ring for my results and I get told "normal, no action needed". I think my operation will be in December as I'm on holiday at the end of this month and they knew not to book me in beforehand. My chest feels tight and I'm tired quite a bit too ☹️
