Thanks and encouragement

Hi everyone, i am new here. Just wanted to thank everyone for sharing their experiences and knowledge. It really helps others to cope and manage their conditions. I have underactive thyroid for 7 years and was in a lot of pain for nearly 10 years, i have had hashimoto’s for 10 years but have only been told this!! I have actively asked for T3 for the last 2 years, finally got it and it has changed my life!! If you are struggling please don’t give up, keep pushing for what you need. You deserve a healthy manageable life.x

Glad you got your T3 and are doing well. Like you say, this is a terrific group, it changes people’s lives without a doubt.

Definitely. This group is always there - at the times I have felt lost this was a place to find help - I read and read for months before I actually started posting myself. It informed me that I could be well and encouraged me to take responsibility for my treatment and not leave it in the hands of others. I am forever grateful that this site gave me the info and support to fight my way out of under treatment.

I feel so sorry for some of us that cant get anyone to listen, it is a hard slog but by supporting others in this group and sharing results etc paves the way for an easier journey, i always knew there was something else going on in my body but the doctor didn’t recognise hashimoto’s so didn’t tell me!, i also through searching and reading recognised that i needed T3. Keep strong!!
