There are a few brands of Levo in the UK. Are you talking about Teva, that is the only one that has been reformulated I believe, it is now lactose free.

Many people don't get on with and have side effects. Some people do fine with it.

If this is brand you are talking about and you are having side effects, send in a Yellow Card Report

yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk/down...

and ask your pharmacy for a different brand.

I've been on teva levo since diagnosed beginning of Sept. No issues at all. Just got a box of the new formulation a couple of days ago and no issues at all. I would listen to your own body and not start panicking or talking yourself into believing they don't agree with you.

But it is a Marmite brand

People either love it or hate it

If lactose intolerant you will likely love it

But lots of people can't tolerate it at all

Jonpaul0_1 Thank you for your much welcome common sense answer. 🙂 And even if there was a head count of those for and those against, it would only be representative of those who had actually expressed an opinion in any particular forum, and certainly wouldn't take account of those who didn't (generally those who have no dissatisfaction); and more importantly would exclude the views of all those not participating in health fora. The other factor is that people can be in several fora, and hence there's a possibility for double, triple, quadruple .... counting of a single expressed opinion.

I'm very newly diagnosed and I don't want to take anything away from any advice on here because it's definitely helped me so early on to get on the right track straight away. But I agree with you. If hypo is as common in what people /doctors say then yeah if you just take the bad experiences of it off here it's a very small pool of people I'd think compared to the number if people diagnosed. I guess an official survey would be helpful !! When your coping with something that is slow healing it's quick to blame meds when u feel worse initially or not seeing the positives straight away 🙂
