I tried the brand Teva it made me feel very odd my tongue felt sore I was really tired dry mouth heart racing more just felt dreadful ! Got a different brand called Mercury Pharma and they were totally different ! Somebody on here said it may be Teva there are some unpleasant side effects reported hope that helps you 😀

What dose are you taking? Is it low which could be causing your symptoms. If you have a copy of your latest results with the ranges, can you post them for comments?

Sounds from what you say that you aren't taking enough. So yes please post results but if they were some time ago it may be as well to retest as you have been taking them for 6 weeks.

You can take the new brand back to Pharmacist and ask for previous brand. Many people find brands of thyroxine are not interchangeable

If new one was Teva then you might want to put in a yellow card. Lots of people have had bad reaction to this brand

LindseyH,

Inform the pharmacist and ask to be switched back to your previous brand when you get your new prescription. If the pharmacist isn't helpful ask for your prescripton back and take it elsewhere. You can make a yellow card report about the adverse effects you are experiencing via yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk/

It might be sensible to ask now - and not wait until your next prescription. It helps the pharmacy to check what they can offer (in case they have problems getting other makes). It also allows you to trawl round pharmacies until you find one that will help.

Just checked and the tablets are teva so what do i do to inform them of these side affects

Exactly what SlowDragon responded earlier - fill in the yellow card and ask pharmacy if they will exchange what you have left.
