DIO2 genetic testing?

Does anyone know more about testing the DIO2 gene for an inherited polymorphism which leads to problems converting T4 to the active T3? Is there anyone doing research on this? Thanks!

Loads of us have had the test.

Some, including myself, have found it very helpful in persuading NHS to fund prescribing small dose of T3, in addition to Levothyroxine

Others are still fighting CCG or GP or endo for, either recognition of the issue or funding for prescription.

Dio 2 . My ratio was poor. My gene test didn’t support that .! Showed no problem

Then gene tests I did have genetic links with pituitary and adrenal problems ?

I can only function if I add some T3

I think there is a very long way to go until we have any understanding of how we work as humans.
