Introducing T3

So after speaking with my private endo she has told me to introduce T3 to my NDT (see previous post for test results) I usually use Springfield Pharmacy to fill my NDT prescription but I'm wondering if anyone has used them for T3 prescriptions and how much it's cost them as I'm ready worried due to nhs prices. I need to feel well 😖Sorry if I've posted something wrong and if private messages are needed. Thanks

Any UK T3 is going to be EXTREMELY expensive.

Typically £258 for 28 tablets of 20mcg

However you get prescription from endocrinologist to read

100 x 20mcg Liothyronine

This can then be used to order 100 tablets of Thybon Henning 20mcg T3 from Germany at just 31euro plus p&p

See info in this link for German based pharmacies

I thought as much! My script says naturthroid 1 1/2 grains to be dispensed in 1 grain tablets 3/12 and t3 liothyronine 25mcg 3/12 (e.g. 3 months supply) can I use a script like that?

No UK T3 available in 25mcg

You may be able to get 25mcg EU made T3 via UK pharmacies

My endo was very specific about it being 25mcg not 20mcg as was talking about cutting the pills in half n spacing through the day so maybe she knows something about the pharmacy that I don't? 🤔

Quite possibly a good dodge to ensure getting much, much cheaper T3

Springfield may be able to advise

Let us know if successful in getting cheap and from UK pharmacy

Many other UK patients would love to get a UK secure supply at reasonable cost

I will be calling them on Monday to ask about price before I send the script to them and definitely will repost if I find out it's possible. It looks like it may just take that extra digit to make the difference (as said in 1 of your links) here's hoping 😊

Hi I use Springfield pharmacy , I haven't purchased t3 from them before , would be interesting to know how much they cost...I see you use nature throid , have you had problems with them, all my symptoms came back , I put on weight and blood tests proved they were not working...I'm having a trial of Efra at the moment..
