my body is shaking horribly after taking cephalexin pills

any one else have a bad reaction to KEFLEX or Cephalexin.....I am struggling so badly right now....shaking and so tense....can't relax my body....

If you are still having problems, ring your urgent medical service (e.g. 111 in much of the UK - but not all). They should be able to advise.

If it gets worse, ring your emergency medical service (e.g. 999 in the UK).

Yes I had a strange reaction to cephalexin . It was similar and I also had a strange sensation of pins and needle’s going across my back and up my arms - both arms. It was also accompanied by itching and hives. I did have to return to my doctor and it was discontinued and another antibiotic prescribed.

Hope by now you are better and perhaps have returned to the doctor - it’s a powerful powerful antibiotic. Have heard many do you have bad side effects to this drug. It seems it should be reserved for only the really really most intense infections. it was given to me when I had what was most probably a tick bite and the new disease resulting from tick bites that’s going around in the United States. It’s not Lyme disease it’s not the bull’s-eye rash but something else some new kind of fungus related disease - very hard to cure and the doctors felt they needed to hit me with the big guns. I was given three different antibiotics and cephalexin was one.

Again hope my now you were better and have been prescribed a different antibiotic.

Yes I am on AUGMENTIN now....which is not as strong...but hopefully I will get better.....I had SEPSIS so ya needed the big guns...they gave me IV in ROCEPHIN in the hospital but sent me home with the KEFLEX ..horrible drug...never again
