Tight throat and nose, anyone else? 😬

Hi all, only me , I've started to suffer a lot more just recently with the dreaded tight throat feeling like the swollen thyroid feeling, alongside of it is a strange swollen full feeling in the nose too, usually I get this feeling when I needed to change my dose of carbi, it feels like a full sensation I see Endo tomorrow and hopefully I can titrate down further when I see my bloods, I just wondered whether anyone else gets this horrid feeling in nose etc , I've heard of the tight throat feeling I also have hashi and graves.😀 any experiences??

I’ve been getting a swollen feeling around my throat recently. Also have Graves and likely hashis too. My glands are swollen but also my thyroid has felt swollen for a couple of weeks. This has coincided with my thyroid levels dropping again. Now lower than when I was diagnosed hypo a year and a half ago. Feeling v hypo cold, tired, dizzy, brain fog etc etc. Have been taken off carbi altogether and am currently on nothing to see what happens. I wonder if it’s a hashis attack hence the lowered thyroid hormones and swollen feeling thyroid. Nothing in my nose though!

Thanks minimum its a horrid feeling, I see Endo tomorrow so i am going to ask if I can come off carbi altogether after 14 months? I have a feeling of my levels not being right at all.how long were you on carbi?

Not long at all. When I went on it endo said at least a year but that was only a few months ago. When I queried this he said he thought that the Graves wasn’t “active” and so I didn’t need to be on carbi and I may be hypo again which is why my levels have dropped more even though the dose was halved. Am now on a “wait and see”. Feeling pretty awful so hope my thyroid is able to recover slightly by itself. Feel like I am back at square one 😢
