I was diagnosed hypothyroid in 1998,but suspect my thyroid had been struggling for awhile.
In 2007 I started getting annual sinus infections.I would catch the common cold virus & this would lead to a sinus infection that would not shift until penicillin was prescribed, usually 2 courses.Other antibiotics, even 2 courses couldn't shift it.
Just recovering from my latest infection.
Until penicillin,I am woken up every 2 hours by very intense pains in my head, even when sitting propped up in my electric recliner on "riser"mode-ie tipped forward.
I do a scalding head steam(big bowl of boiling water, big towel) & then get another 2 hours sleep. After 12 days of this (plus painkillers & blue gel packs applied to the head)& feeling like a zombie all day,I give in & go to the GP.
I use a Sinugator twice a day & I take Olive leaf capsules.
Making my new batch of kefir today.I HATE having to take Amoxicillin

Seems as though your thyroid levels are not right. If you ask for copies of your most recent blood tests, with the reference ranges, members can advise. Doctors know very little about the thyroid and simply look at the comment from the lab and advise accordingly- usually that everything is normal. Unfortunately ‘normal’ can mean anything in a wide range and many doctors will pass it even when results are out of range.
Also ask for the following to be checked: serum iron, ferritin, B12, Folate and Vit D, as they are probably all low. You may need to supplement but again doctors know little about this. Be your own doctor. It is the only way to recover your health.
I agree with what Hennerton says and I know the feeling as I similarly struggled with constant sinus problems, infections and post nasal drip - permanently had colds, congestion pain and felt sluggish. Now almost 2 years since diagnosis and getting myself on the right levels of thyroid treatment (for me Levo + NDT/glandular), getting nutrient levels optimal and cutting gluten, eating well and sadly cutting alchohol (histamine intolerance), I'm pretty good. Seems to be the combination of being kind to my body that keeps my symptoms at bay. But the constant work pays dividends even if it is a pain the bum!
First step to check all of your levels. Wishing you well.
