I was diagnosed about a year ago. I’m still trying to get to 100% but I try to remember that it took me years to get to my diagnosis so I can’t expect my recovery to be super quick.
I don’t know the numbers/ratios for UK forums here so I’m hoping there’s some US members who are able to chat with me about their story so I don’t feel so alone with all of this.
I’ll find my last round of testing to post but thought I’d send this out in the meantime. I take so many supplements too! Vitamins include B, D, C and Zinc, Magnesium, and some more that escape me at the moment.

There are occasional posts from folk in the US but you may be better looking at US sites .Stop the Thyroid Madness, Izabella Wentz the thyroid pharmacist,Hypothyroid Mum .
I'm from the US., Northern CA. I was also diagnosed about a year ago. Had a total thyroidectomy in June. This site has been a godsend for me. I haven't found one in the US that compares to it. Why is it important where it is based, as long as you find help?
I am in the US and agree with Jls1409. This is a universal disease and any information from any part of the world is helpful. My husband, adult daughter and myself all are hypothyroid. My husband has hoshimotos. I suspect my 2 adult sons are also hypothyroid but haven't been diagnosed. I am in Michigan. This group has helped me immensely.
I’m in the Northeast US. You can read my (lengthy) story in my profile. This site has been a godsend - kind-hearted, helpful folks with a plethora of information and personal experiences. Much better than any US-based site IMHO.
You are correct that treatment isn’t a quick solution as this disease changes constantly and requires constant monitoring. I hope you have a good, knowledgeable endo?
So, hello and welcome. Pull up a chair and sit a spell. 😊
