Dils

It is just a multivitamin, and like them all it contains some wrong things, notably:

Folic acid instead of methylfolate.

B12 as cyanocobalamin instead of methylcobalamin - and 9mcg won't help anyway if you need B12.

200mcg iodine - we should test iodine for deficiency before supplementing, it can make hypothyroidism worse.

12mg iron - this will affect absorption of everything else.

200iu Vit D wont help if you need it.

Same advice as always for multivitamins - don't bother, it's a waste of money.

Means... Here biotin are not availbl... So what should i do...

I don't know, but if you use that supplement then it's very possible that the biotin wont be absorbed properly because of the iron contained in it. If you absolutely must take a multivitamin to get biotin then find one without iron, calcium or iodine.

Ferritin is one of the tests in an iron panel, it is your iron store but it's not your serum iron.

Calcium, iodine and ferritin (preferably iron panel) should all be tested and only supplemented if found to be deficient.

You shouldn't take calcium or iodine unless you are very deficient - and even then they are not good things to take.

You shouldn't take iron at the same time as vitamins because it blocks the vitamins and you won't absorb them. Iron needs to be taken two hours away from everything else. The only thing you can take at the same time as iron is vit C.

And, if you take a multi-vit with iron and calcium, the two will bind together and you won't absorb anything. As Susie said, it's a waste of money because you don't get anything much out of it - you might just as well pour your money straight down the drain.

Well, you'd still suffer even if you took the multivit, only you'd pay to do so. :(

Sounds like you are very under-medicated for your thyroid.

None of them do, not anywhere. Which is why we have to learn about it ourselves and try to explain it to them.

Hair loss can be due to iron deficiency or anemia - it's happened to me. It's very common in hypothyroidism as we need good stomach acid to absorb minerals from foods. Unfortunately low thyroid hormone (low t3 to be exact will slow down production of stomach acid). I would insist on a full iron panel from a different GP who understands. Not all GPs will refuse to do an iron panel at the very least.

In the meantime, the best supplement to take is soluble vit C with meals, or even better Betaine HCl as it'll help you absorb iron, selenium, zinc and other minerals vital to thyroid health and conversion.

I remember you're not in the UK, sorry. I think that there must be some difference in thyroid investigations in your country. Your symptoms do sound as though you could have low iron - maybe ask another type of doctor who'll be willing to find out.
