I would be careful as I was prescribed duloxetine by the pain management clinic and psychiatrist. I had horrific side effects which I know were exasperated by my under active thyroid.

There will be others along to help but I I am sensitive to any anti depressants. Have you had Vit D, B12 , Ferritin/Folate checked as these when low can aggravate our already often intolerable symptoms of under active thyroid (which the health profession appear to refuse to acknowledge) are part of the disorder.

I have stated natural dessicated thyroid today because of my new found knowledge from this forum. I have learnt I can/hope to improve by listening to suffers and experts who know what they are talking about, AND are totally honest unlike the medical profession who in my opinion are too quick and eager to push toxic drugs onto us.

Thank you for your reply.. My daughter told me off as I said I was thinking not taking them!!! But for people who have never had a reaction to any meds I suppose they don't understand!

I have been taking Pregabalin for years on the maximum dose without problems. It is prescribed for neuropathic pain and it is one of the few drugs which work.

Pregabalin is one of those medications that either works for you or doesn't. Some people can take it without problems, some experience loads of side effects and some experience some side effects. Usually if you get side effects they will wear off after a time if you can stand them for a while. Ask the clinic how long you might experience any side effects before it improves, they should have told you that anyway! It's really not a good idea to read about the side effects before you take them as the imagination is a powerful thing. I took some new pills once and I really freaked out feeling ill, dizzy, faint, awful in fact and when I went to find the packet I wasn't even taking those particular pills it was my normal pills..... I'd actually forgotten to take the ones that should have given me all of those side effects! I felt SO stupid. It also happened to me when I went for a scan and had to have some contrast injected. I felt it go in and I suddenly couldn't breathe, I felt hot and strange and started to panic a lot. After feeling that I couldn't deal with it for much longer a voice came through my earphones saying "OK, we are just going to put in the contrast now" !!!!! Nothing happened when they put it in, I don't think I had any energy left to be any more anxious!

I haven't read side effects!!!!!!!!' I was on a pain forum( like this on) and several people on there had put on loads of weight after taking it! Also they had several people on there saying they were "out of it for days" as it made them very drowsy! .. That's the problem I don't want to be like that as anything that makes you drowsy effects me 10times worse!!!!
