Test timing with t3/4 combo

Hello

I now take a combination of 150 levo with 20 t3. I take it all in one go in the morning on an empty stomach as I was worried I wasn’t absorbing when I tried taking some of the t3 later in the day.

My question is when am I meant to do the blood test? People have said on here 24 hours after t4 and 12 after t3... but I take them both at once so cannot do that.

Would testing in the morning, 24 hours after last t3 dose be completely unhelpful? Also I’d be doing a home finger prick test so I’d want to do it before the last post goes at 5pm I guess!

I also take Levo plus T3, all at once early morning. On the day before the test, for one day only, I split my T3 and take my second dose between 8.30pm and bedtime as I know I will do my test at 8.30 the next morning.

Yes, you would get a false low T3 and wouldn't be able to work out the normal circulating amount of T3 with such a long gap.

Also I’d be doing a home finger prick test so I’d want to do it before the last post goes at 5pm I guess!

You do it early morning, as always advised, get everything packed up then take to the post office in the afternoon to ensure you hand it over in time for the collection. I do mine at 8.30am, take it to the post office around 3.30-4pm, hand over for Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm tomorrow, get my receipt with tracking number, and it's handed to the driver at around 4.30pm.
