Have u tried to eat liver twice a week vit some vitamin c? Vitamin c helps with vitamin absorption. Do you take iron four hrs apart from ndt medication and as far as possible from any other suppliments .when u take iron supplement try to have it with vitamin c some juice etc for full absorption.vitamin d looks alright maybe need upping dose to 4000-5000iu but now came new research that it’s enough with 100 level for hypothyroidism people(nutritionist told me ) so from 80-100 is good. Folate u are low do u suppliment folate rather than folic acid? Because if u suppliment folic acid it must be converted in to folate (active form) for it to go in to cells? What vitamin b complex are u using? Is that vitamin b12 test results is active vitamin b12? If folate is low vitamin b12 will be low too . Yours is plush but could be higher . Hope it helps

It doesn't matter how many times a week liver is consumed, it's important that no more than 200g per week is eaten due to it's high Vit A content, very important to pass that information on :)

Vitamin D is still too low, but how much has it risen since last tested? Aiming for around 100nmol.

Many of us need more than 3000iu daily to increase level. It's trial and error, everyone is different. Perhaps try 2 x 3000iu for month of two.

Once you Improve level, very likely you will need on going maintenance dose to keep it there.

Important to retest twice yearly when supplementing. vitamindtest.org.uk

Also read up on importance of magnesium supplements when taking vitamin D

Magnesium can also help with constipation. Calm vitality magnesium powder is cheap and easy to use. Best to start on small dose or you can have opposite problem!

Magnesium and iron must be four hours away from taking Levo

Folate is still low. A daily good quality vitamin B complex, one with folate in not folic acid may be beneficial. Eg Igennus Super B or Jarrow B-right. You may find you can drop or slowly reduce B12 spray

Ferritin, eating liver or liver pate once a week is another way of improving levels

Or SeasideSusie may have different suggestions on gentle iron supplements. Iron supplements are notorious for causing constipation

Thankyou SlowDragon

I was on 3000 Vit d all through summer it was 50 but it’s crept up a bit so il take 5000 for 3 months or so and test again . I am taking b complex but it’s got folic acid not folate so I will try one that youve mentioned .

It’s just a case of tweaking everything I think until I feel better 😀

Thanks Again

Take care

There is iron bisglycinate, eg Solgar Gentle Iron which is supposed to be non-constipating, but there is a lot less elemental iron per capsule.

Or have a look at Megafoods Blood Builder amazon.co.uk/MegaFood-Daily...

As for the severe constipation, are you taking 1000mg Vit C with each iron tablet? You can take Vit C to bowel tolerance.

Also, Magnesium should be taken when supplementing with Vit D as it helps the body utilise D3. Natural Calm Original Magnesium Citrate powder is what has normalised my bowels after lifelong constipation amazon.co.uk/Natural-Vitali...

Thankyou this is great information I haven’t been taking Vit c with iron so I must do that religiously for it to make the difference ! I am also under with my Vit D spray so up up that to 5000 for a little while and I stopped my magnesium as I thought it gave me headaches and transferred onto the spray each night but maybe that’s not as good il try a good quality magnesium powders maybe like you suggest as constipation is the main reason I’m so reluctant with iron !

Il get these vits and minerals sorted straight away .

Many Thanks fur the great advice
