My current symptoms are waking at 3/4 am with surge of nervousness like you wanna be sick . Cannot sleep as so nervous anxious

All day jittery and not really here spaced out

Face on one side a bit numb and eyesight a bit blurry ... not eating a lot as feel sick

By evening I have a bit of a calmer period

My throat feels swollen , tongue big , eyes hurt ... headaches ....

been like this over a week . It's so awful

I do have poor health I'm always in pain so been on many drugs including hormone ones last year as gynae problems . Was recently on duluxetine but came off as made me not sleep and anxious

Any ideas ? I've had the Gp basic blood test but feel so awful and I am a foster mum and have kids and I'm single

If you have had any thyroid tests carried out, can you please post them along with their reference ranges.

I’ve heard that a swollen tongue can be a symptom of low b12. You could look on the PA forum, they have a pinned post with list of symptoms, to see if you have any others. The sleep problems might be due to cortisol issues. I’m sure there are members more knowledgeable that might have more to add. Hope you find some answers that help.

Thank you I hope so too

Cortisol I do feel is the problem but I need to know why it's being pumped in

I can certainly suggest a cortisol saliva test. Mine came back very high in early mornings and my follow up research suggested taking an adrenal support suppliment. I found one on Amazon. Within a few weeks the 3 to 5am racing heart, nervousness stopped and I started sleeping thru the night. It had been years since that was possible for me. Recently I ran out of it and within a few days the 2/3 hour panics returned. Went straight back on them and it stopped. I dont know how it works but for me it does and I am grateful for it. I hope you find your way forward.

Good luck.

Ahhh thank you

I saw my friend Sandra who is a holistic allergy tester and she did a few tests and said basically adrenals are running on empty plus deficient in all my vits and minerals ... she's given me something to help adrenals while I wait to find out blood tests and see a endocrinologist privately . I have three painful conditions but never felt as low as this or worried ... I have coped with a marriage breakdown and I foster children I guess my body is warning me of a gigantic crash if I don't make drastic changes . Did you get headache and eye ache too ??? X

No headaches but my right eye felt like I was in a dust storm, itched and watered a lot. It has stopped as well.

Duloxentine is mostly used for depression. It is also used for incontinence and for diabetic nerve pain. It’s a pity that you seem to have side-effects because it could help with the facial numbness.
