Yes, happened to me. How did your doctor make that assumption, though? Asking as two years ago as a GP (in the UK) told me I was not ovulating and therefore infertile. What’s worse, she did that over the phone and showed no empathy or willingness to help either. It was awful. My boyfriend was sat next to me at the time of the phone call and was shocked that anyone would break such news not in person. But when I took those results to my gynaecologist she said the results were useless as GP did not test my female hormones at right time of the cycle so the results meant nothing. Turned out I was not infertile at all.
Told me I’d had a miscarage I got tearful she said it’s normal
And not to get upset happens to everyone and basically to get over it, then 6 months later was still having issues saw a gynaecologist had loads of tests they said it wasn’t a miscarage and that I’m just not ovulating but they can’t figure out why and just got to wait and when I’m ready for a family start trying incase it changes back if not will need treatment and told not to worry about it and that was it 😞 x
Oh dear, I’m really sorry you’ve been through this. Sending big hug! I’ve never personally tried for a baby but my hypo friend in fact was diagnosed because they couldn’t conceive. Inadequate hormone levels can impact ovulation and the pregnancy. Are you on meds now? Do you have any recent thyroid panel results?
I saw who is classed as the best consultant on gynaecology but he can’t find a reason why at all but I’m not I confirmed with the sticks myself too he just said I need to chill out more 😞
That's the only test which can confirm 100% if you have any eggs left. Bloods or internal scans aren't as accurate. But I believe this is either privately or in an IVF clinics done only.
If your TSH is within the range thyroid has nothing to do with no ovulation.
You may have premature ovarian failure if young or simply went into menopause.
If you set on getting into the bottom of it you will need egg reserve test done.
Well, of course. Speak to your gyne. GP don't have authority though.
Not.to discourage you, my hospital consultant refused but then she was quite dumb and refused to do or prescribe pretty much anything so it's more on her than the hospital availability really.
He’s said it’s just somtimes one of those things as he put it and when I’m ready if it’s not changed back again then there’s pills they could give me to get me ovulating but I’ve never heard of any of this before it just worries me he said stress can cause it too and I suffer with anxiety and depression x
