Hi everyone. I’m looking for a private endo who will allow a lower than normal TSH. MY TSH is 0.33 (range 0.5-4.0) T3 4.6 (3.5-6.5) T4 13 (10-20). I need to keep increasing T4 to get well, but my endo is against this. I live in England - willing to travel! Is there anyone who can help?

Your endocrinologist is entirely wrong and is not up to date with latest work. Guide him/her to this paper as an example:

Biochemical Markers Reflecting Thyroid Function in Athyreotic Patients on Levothyroxine Monotherapy

This shows clearly that with patients on T4 therapy, TSH values in the range 0.03-0.5 indicate correct treatment. Simply put, the TSH range for healthy patients does not apply to those who have lost their thyroids and are on T4.
Thank you. I will definitely look at this. I don’t think my current endo will go for it though. I feel caught between two ‘camps’ of medical opinion. Those who will let you go lower and those who won’t. I think mine is a won’t unfortunately. It’s so frustrating. I’ve been hyper before due to over-medication and I know I’m no where near that.
I'm afraid I would say to him that if his unsupported opinion overrides demonstrable fact, he should look to his ethics (and one's fitness to practice)..
I could try it, but he’s written books on the subject - lol. Thanks so much for your replies. I will do my best to challenge him and see how it goes. I see him a week today. I’ll try not to lose my temper!

if you click onto the above link you can read more about diogenes - an Independant Analyst - involved in thyroid research. They have produced an e-book - which contains the most up-to-date research they have completed. Again in the link above. Hope you find the info useful
Do you have Hashimoto's also called autoimmune thyroid disease?
Are you on strictly gluten free diet
How are your vitamin levels ?
Add Vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 results and ranges if you have them
Getting vitamins optimal can help reduce symptoms and sometimes raise TSH too so that it's easier to get dose increase
But if on T3, TSH is almost always suppressed
