Hi guys tomorrow I will get my results, but the last time I did it was hypothyroidism. Today I want to ask you something... few months a go I had a hyperthyroidism and the most hard thing for me was the fast heart beats, I could literally feel every single one of them. Made me hate my life and not go to look for job because I thought I will stay like that for ever. Thank God I feel much better now, but any time I have my apointment I feel my heart acts strange and I don't know but I can't not think about it. Sometimes I think am I okay now? Or is it just my brain that makes it up. Please tell me how you got over this heart beats problem.
Feeling the heart beats : Hi guys tomorrow I will... - Thyroid UK
Feeling the heart beats
Did you have the vitamins and minerals tested as suggested in your post/thread a month ago. SlowDragon gave you good advice. Low Ferritin - B12 - Folate - VitD need to be high in their ranges. Low Iron can cause heartbeat problems as can the adrenals.
Yeh they are fine and in the normal range. The thing is I don't know anymore if this is my brain making it up or is it real and I need to fix it 😟
Normal means in range - it is where you are in the range that is key 😊 Do post your results with ranges in case we can spot something that may help. So your B12 was over 500 - VitD100+ - Ferritin and Folate mid-range ... ?
I'm sorry I can't find all the report but I got the last one I did
Vitamin D= 48.0
TSH= 8.4 (0.37-4.4)
FT3= 4.25 (3.1-6.8)
FT4= 11.53 (12-22)
Since this test I have been taking Euthyrox 25 tablets
So how are you supplementing your LOW VitD ? I am not a Doc but staring you on 25mcg is not right - unless you are old with a dodgy heart. 50 mcg is the usual starting dose. 25mcg can sometimes make you feel worse.
Are you sure you have had B12 - Folate - Ferritin - tested ?. If like your VitD - they are low in range then it could explain your symtoms.
How long have you been taking 25mcg ? Start a new post when you have your results so more people see them.
I'm only 23 years old and I have been taking these medicines since a month. I used before the 50 and it made my heart beat for a whole day. Please let me know what j need to test because tomorrow I'm doing it so B12? Vitamin D? Iron? What else?
Thank you!
You know I forgot to mention that I get fast heart beat after dinner or lunch or when I go to toilet 😟
Have you had thyroid anti-bodies tested ? If not then ask for TPO and Tg. NHS usually only do TPO. Then as mentioned - B12 - Folate - Ferritin and VitD again if allowed by GP. Then there's TSH - FT4 - FT3. Hope all goes well.
Thank you so much! I will post the results as soon as I get them.
Are you based in the U.K.?
NHS guidelines saying standard starter dose is 50mcgs

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4, FT3 plus TPO and TG thyroid antibodies and also very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Low vitamin levels are extremely common and hinder thyroid hormones working properly so essential to get tested
High thyroid antibodies can be significant issue, so you need these tested too
Private tests are available. Thousands on here forced to do this as NHS often refuses to test FT3 or antibodies or vitamins

Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have money off offers.
All thyroid tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. When on Levothyroxine, take last dose 24 hours prior to test, and take next dose straight after test. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, GP will be unaware)
Hi there Horse-lover please could you tell me if theres a difference between hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism thyroid storm ?
many thanks 😊
much love ❤ she😊 xx
Hi! Well I will tell you what I know. When your TSH in the range (normal) it means 0.37-4.4 but when it's hypothyroidism the TSH is >4.7 and when it's hyperthyroidism the TSH is <0.27.
Both of them have different symptoms personally because I experienced both I find that hyperthyroidism is worst because it makes my heart beat so freaking fast. I couldn't sleep at night or eat well or work or walk a lot. You can look online to see the different symptoms because there are tons! Hope I was helpful.
Honey you are absolutely welcome❤ yes I had a very shaky hands especially my right one. I used to sleep so much and it got to the point where I could be sitting with people and suddenly sleeping while I'm sitting. I was tired all the time and I remember that I couldn't stand still my legs were shake so bad and I feel dizzy most of the time, which made me not want to walk. I had also a bad back pain. Most of these symptoms are gone now thank God, but I'm struggling with the fast heart beat a little bit, it makes me anxious. I hope you are fine 💕💕💕
