Letter from the endo : Hi lovely ppl...I'm... - Thyroid UK
Letter from the endo
Samy
I think you know that without ranges we can't interpret results and there's only 2 that are flagged so the majority of them would be classed as fine because they're within range.
I can't help with cortisol and for your Vit D level of 68.1 we'd need to know if the unit of measurement was nmol/L or ng/ml.
It looks like both thyroid antibodies are well below the limits so not showing any signs of autoimmune thyroid disease with those results, but of course one negative doesn't rule it out.
Thank seasidesusie for ur reply I know they haven't sent the results with ranges which is annoying I went to see my GP todato find out they might have ranges but they don't even have blood results so I have emailed the endo to find out abt the ranges I don't know abt the TPO antibodies but TRAB when tested last time range was (0.0.4) plus my ultrasound rice showed thyroiditis which she thinks its most likely hashimoto and she has mentioned that in the letter too I dont
I don't know how to attach another picture of letter here plus my ferritin level has gone down from 62 to 32 since I stopped supplementing
If you are in the UK you are legally entitled to printed copies of your blood test results and ranges
Sounds like Hashimoto's
They only tested TPO antibodies for Hashimoto's. Ideally should also test TG antibodies, but you would need to do that privately, (as NHS only tests TG antibodies if TPO are positive )
There's only TSH, no FT3 or FT4
Also need vitamin B12 and folate tested
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4, FT3 plus TPO and TG thyroid antibodies and also very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Private tests are available. Thousands on here forced to do this as NHS often refuses to test FT3 or antibodies or vitamins

Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have money off offers.
All thyroid tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting.
Thanks slowdragon for ur reply I had my complete thyroid panel done in April privately through medichecks and my TSh was 2.35 (0.27..4.5) ft4 15.3(12..22) ft3 was 4.68 (3.1..6.8) TGAB were 49.00 (0..115)TPO were 32(0..34) imon vitamin d everyday I was taking g ferrous sulphate 200mg a day then my ferritin level was 62 so I stopped it now it has gone down in three months so I have started again what u guys think if my ultrasound keep showing thyroiditis what does that mean new endi thinks its hashimoto but when I was diagnosed I had positive antibodies for TRAB results were 1.3 range was (0.0.4)
TRab range looks odd. Can you double check that
So how much vitamin D are you taking. How low was vitamin D when first tested and has it been retested since.
Can retest here
Need vitamin B12 and folate tested too
About 20% of patients with Hashimoto's never have raised antibodies

Changing to a strictly gluten free diet may help reduce symptoms, help gut heal
Ideally ask GP for coeliac blood test first
