Update - Back from Taking a break' thread.

I enjoyed my hiatus-it was very restful and helpful in getting thoughts together about making future life decisions. I missed everyone's posts and enjoyed reading all your responses. I feel I have a lot of friends here on my thyroid and AF forums.. Glad to be back. Take care all. irina

Hi shaws. I wrote a new thread that was deleted. Not a problem but I included a line in there meant for you. Just wanted to thank you for turning me on to the book "Tears Behind Closed Doors". Just pulled up a post you sent me to let you know it looks like a book that could do with a reprint and some good marketing to get it out to more thyroid patients. Didn't know where else to post. Thanks again. irina😊

It might very well be a book pubished sometime ago but it is definitely worth a read of someone's long journey to be diagnosed which led to her being another 'woman on a mission'. I believe she's retired some time ago.

I saw they have both some new and used copies on amazon so will look into that. I believe it was printed in 2002. I usually don't browse my public libraries because for the most part here (US) libraries don't usually have non-fiction books I'm interested in reading. Don't mean to come across as a 'book-snob' but they buy for the masses (lots of 'light summer reading!') I do have a short list of out of print book sources I use. It takes them some time to find books but eventually the book I want turns up. I believe they have a lot of used bookstore resources.

It was an eye-opener for me and anyone else who has hypo and remained undiagnosed.

Hi Irina. Nice to see you back 😊 I seem to remember you'd found a good Endo & was hopeful you'd get the support you needed. I hope your thyroid health is making progress.

It is. He has turned out to be great. He actually listens to my input and lets me try things I think of if they are not harmful.

😊

I first saw him in early April. He did total workup including a couple of things I didn't think about. I'm feeling much better and meds are slowly being adjusted. I just noticed the post about levothyroxine being recalled in the US so sent him a note to find out more. Only saw it a few minutes ago. No details yet. Thank you for asking and hope you are doing well too. Take care. xx irina

OMG. I think I just accidentally learned how to create paragraphs on my computer!
