This time last year I put on carbimzole because I started losing weight but was taken of it at the end of October because the thyroid blood test was improved and my weight was 9st 13 lb but now my weight is 10st 7lb my height is 5 feet 3 I'm feeling very tried and sluggish at the moment I need to improve my diet before it gets any worse please could anyone give me some advice on to do it

Can you please post your thyroid test results - those from when you were put on Carbimazole and your current ones. Please also include the reference ranges as they vary from lab to lab.
Was the only reason you were put on Carbimazole because you were losing weight? Were any thyroid antibody tests done at the time to confirm that you had an overactive thyroid and needed Carbimazole?
I think I know what's going on but can't say for sure until I see thyroid test results.
Sorry haven't got any thyroid test results I think I was put on carbimzole because I was losing weight .I first had this about 9 years ago and was put on carbimzole for about 18months and I started feeling better and the doctor took me off them and last July I noticed that I was losing the weight again so went to the doctor's and they gave me a blood test and the doctor put me back on the carbimzole for 3 months then I got a phone call from the doctor saying I need to stop taking the carbimzole and I have been having regular blood test since but they seems to be ok at the moment

Carbimazone is an anti-thyroid medication, given when a patient has an overactive thyroid - Graves disease, confirmed by positive Graves antibodies - TSH/TRab antibodies. If you haven't been diagnosed with that then I'm at a loss to understand why you were prescribed it.
I can only think that thyroid tests were actually done so you need to ask for a copy of those results - ask for a print out. In the UK we are legally entitled to a copy of results and medical records without charge.
When you have your results, post them on the forum for members to comment. Include the reference ranges as well because they vary from lab to lab and results can only be interpreted when ranges are included from the lab that did the testing, eg
TSH: 2.5 (0.2-4.2)
FT4: 15 (12-32)
I have been to a doctor at the hospital in may and he saidwhen I had it before he told me I had graves disease so he did a blood test and said that if the blood test was ok I didn't need to come back and see him but why are I putting weight back on now .I have had a blood test on the 28 the of August so I'm waiting for results

Graves disease must be confirmed by testing TSI/TRab antibodies. It can be confused with another autoimmune thyroid disease - Hashimoto's, which is underactive with periods of hyper-type symptoms and results as the antibodies fluctuate. So it's very important to have the correct diagnosis by testing both sets of antibodies.

Hashi's - TPO (Thyroid Peroxidase) and TG (Thyroglobulin)
Without proper confirmation of Graves by positive Graves antibodies, Carbimazole would be the wrong medication to prescribe. We are seeing a lot of this on the forum lately and it's very worrying that doctors are treating this way without confirming antibodies.
If you were losing weight then, and gaining weight now, that could be more indicative of Hashi's than Graves.
You could try Low Carb High Fat (LCHF) look on the Diet Doctor.com website for information. They run a weekly course with helpful advice on what to eat. I still eat carbs but I get them from better (for me) sources or look on diabetes.co.uk a lot of diabetic people use LCHF so you will see what they eat.
I’m in remission from Graves. My diet is gluten free -long story but I discovered it lowered my autoimmune antibodies. I tend not to eat GF cakes and biscuits either because a) they spike my blood sugar and b) junk food is junk food even if it is GF. I eat good old fashioned home cooked food - just don’t use gluten containing products. Don’t cut out good fats because your body needs them and once fats are removed they are generally replaced with sugar which won’t help you. Eat proper fruit rather than fruit juices. I tend to eat more healthy veg than fruit. I don’t eat junk food or fizzy drinks. Stick with really weak tea, decaf coffee water and the odd glass of red wine.
Moderate exercise helps too but don’t go mad on exercise. Too much and too hard isn’t good.
