Marmite back on the menu!

I was Googling 'gluten free Marmite' when I came across this update - admittedly from 2014

coeliac.org.uk/about-us/new...

However, Meridian do a gluten free yeast extract if you want to play it safe:

hollandandbarrett.com/shop/...

Not having had any for about three years, and loving the stuff, I'm off to Holland and Barrett for the g.f. version.

Read the ingredients very carefully! I don't trust H&B. :)

Meridian is a different brand. H&B just stock it. I don't trust them either, although I do like their Dr. Organic toiletries.

Initially no .....though it's pretty close

But surprised how quickly I got use to it

I might be gluten free, but for me breakfast has to include toast and "marmite"

I loved marmite as a child, reminds me of having it as drink on cold autumn days 😋I'll get some next time I'm shopping.

Actual marmite severely dries my throat out but Meridian Yeast Extract is absolutely fine, no issues whatsoever. I checked with Meridian direct who confirmed its gluten free. I'm so happy as gone without Marmite for 5 years!!
