I am hypothyroid and have been reading that a big problem is low stomach acid, because it means poor digestion of micro (and macro) nutrients. I'm guessing that I have that problem too.
I have been taking lots of supplements, but I'm not sure if I'm fundamentally hindered in absorbing most of those due to the above problem. I wonder if digestive enzymes is (at least part of) the solution? I've had lots of different probiotics before, but never digestive enzymes. Are they a gimmick or are they really effective?
If this is totally the wrong thing, then what does make a REAL difference? Interested in hearing on good experiences people have had.

Thanks that's interesting. I have on and off taken Apple Cider vinegar with the Mother as a way to supposedly improve gut health e.g. remove Candida. Never really had much actual effect other than the psychological one. But perhaps there was one.
Thanks for confirming the other reply. ACV seems good to take for other things too. The testing could be problematic as I am in New Zealand. Usually the best you can do is either Australian or if the doctor has it US tests. I'll see if I can find out though.
Yes, I think I've had some gut testing via my doctor and Nutrisearch before. It identified that I'm completely healthy parasite and candida wise. Don't remember it saying anything about stomach acid though.
