I suffer, fatigue, virtigo, weakness, no stamina, have to rest in bed most of the day. Get puffy eyes with bags and bad shadows. Sleep is unrewarding. But, because i have a slight to moderate regurgitating aorta which was checked only about three m9nths ago, i dont know how much is to do with that. I has the t4 t3 tsh tests and all were low the t3 bottom of ok but doc said your fine. I complained so he made appointment with endocrinologist. He the refered me to neurologist, who i. Turn gave me an mri appointment for tomorrow. I feel shunted from pillar to post, and seem to be getting worse and worse. Had general blood test and it was fine.

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4, TT4, FT3 plus TPO and TG thyroid antibodies and also very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Add results and ranges of any of theseyou have had done recently
Private tests are available. Thousands on here forced to do this as NHS often refuses to test FT3 or antibodies or vitamins

Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have money off offers.
All thyroid tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting.
If antibodies are high this is Hashimoto's, (also known by medics here in UK more commonly as autoimmune thyroid disease).
About 90% of all hypothyroidism in Uk is due to Hashimoto's. Low vitamins are especially common with Hashimoto's. Food intolerances are very common too, especially gluten. So it's important to get TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested at least once .

Hi I had all your symptoms and when they checked my DHEA and Testosterone they were below the normal range! You could ask them to do a specific blood test on this. The Endo should also check your adrenal glands as can cause tiredness. The MRI might be to check you pituitary gland which is the master gland for all your hormones. I am no expert I am just hypothesizing based on what I am currently going through! Sending you hugs and best wishes for your scan! Wishing you well with a speedy recovery x
