Just got the results back from my saliva test and the commentary from the doctor is as follows;
"I note that you are taking this test to investigate cortisol problems as the cause of fatigue, reduced blood pressure & pulse, and loss of effectiveness of thyroid medication.
Your waking, daytime and before bed salivary cortisol levels are all within normal levels. This makes it unlikely that you have an underlying disease affecting your cortisol production such as Cushing's or Addison's disease."
Any additional commentary from the experts here about these results ? I assume any fatigue/problems with T3 I've had can't be attributed to cortisol/adrenal issues ?

I do wish Medichecks and BH would add DHEA to their tests, it's very important for the full picture. And the results they give for Sample 4 doesn't tell you anything.
These are the optimal levels for cortisol:
Sample 1 - waking - at the tip top part of the range
Sample 2 - noon - in the upper quarter (though not at the very top of provided range)
Sample 3 - 4pm - around mid-range
Sample 4 - Bedtime - at the very bottom (Literally. So if range is 1-4, people are at 1, not even 2)
Your results for Samples 1 and 2 aren't optimal, Sample 3 is about right, Sample 4 is meaningless as there is no actual result, it could be anywhere between 0 and 1.4. If it's much over 0 up to 1.4 it's too high.
So the doctor's comments are correct in that Addisons and Cushings aren't a problem.
Samples 1, and 2 are classed as normal but not optimal, and Sample 3 is pretty good. There is nothing useful to be said about Sample 4.
So I think you can possibly rule out any major problem with your adrenals.
I have to agree that you need your dhea tested. Mine was nil and I was shattered. So easy to fix as well and easier to increase thyroid meds if adrenals as fully functioning.
After diet, absorbtion and optimal vitamins that is.
The cheapest way is to check your temperature 4 times a day with a basal thermometer. Aim for 36.50 and take the average. Any variation above 0.3 will show you have an adrenal issue. Any temp below this level and your meds are too low.
