I have just been looking over my last Medicheck results and noticed my ferritin level is over range. I did see that it was when I first received the results but because my FT4 was over range I was concentrating more on this.
FERRITIN *171 ug/L 13.00 -150.00
CRP - HIGH SENSITIVITY 2.16 mg/l 0.00 -5.00
I do not take any iron supplements.
My FT level was 23.20 range 12.00 - 22.00
Would the high FT4 have bearing on the ferritin level, if not what else could be causing it.
Thank you.

Do you have any specific symptoms such as muscle weakness (others can be found via Google)? I realise it may be difficult to attribute them.
I'm personally becoming interested in ferritin at present. Mine was ~130 around 18m ago but is now lower at 89 which I understand is better at least according to Dr Mercola. Until then, I was becoming concerned I may have hemochromatosis which is the most common cause. I've suggested my mum has hers tested in case it's the cause of the leg aching she's had for a while (doctors clueless).
So no answers but a suggestion to keep monitoring. If you show results to GP, he/she should do that at least if you ask.
