Not long ago, I had a horrible goiter- multi nodular - which now is gone! A therapist gave me the solution: one cup of walnuts - ground-up, one cup of buckwheat and one cup of honey, mixed together; the buckwheat must be soaked in hot water and left with a lid - for about an hour; if you ask me, I thought one cup of honey was too much, so I used as much as to give a sweet taste to the mixture -a few teaspoonfuls - and eat that during one day, divided into as many meals as you want - 3-4, and for at least six weeks (and, of course, nothing else). I did this for 7 weeks (and still do) when one day day my husband said in surprise: where is your goiter?! it was gone! the horrible mass around my neck was gone! And I still eat buckwheat several times as it's very healthy and it's gluten free, of course! I had nodules, too, they have become smaller, now I have to have an ultrasound to see what happened.

Try it and let me know what happens, nothing to lose!

Hi!

I’m interested/curious/very surprised!

Could you please confirm....you ate nothing else except this mixture for seven weeks and still do? You are living on this mixture? Did the therapist say you had to eat it for the rest of your life?

I said ONE day/week when you eat nothing else except the mixture. The rest of the week - you can eat your meals, whatever!

I think you might have a lot to lose, as it sounds like a very unbalanced diet. Given that hypos usually have low nutrients, this diet will probably make them lower. Where's the B12? Plus, I cannot see how these ingredients can get rid of a goitre or nodules. Especially as walnuts are goitrogens, and you would be eating a hell of a lot of them.

I take it you're also taking thyroid hormone replacement of some kind. What are you taking and how much?

I knew there would be a lot of controversy, I just mentioned MY experience, every one can do whatever he/she thinks is best for him/her. Only one day/week, that's all. You can lower the quantity of walnuts to a half as I said about the honey, and yes, I'm taking hormone replacement, too; regarding the hormone, I'm still trying...if I take too much, high heart rate, the endo only cares about the TSH, nothing else; I'll come back with recent bloods Thank you!

Interesting - when I googled this, I found a site mentioning that walnuts are a good source of selenium, and selenium can help reduce goitre.

Well - I misread the original post - oops! Thought the mixture was taken 2/4 times over a day for seven weeks and nothing else!

Now I see that the mixture is taken during one day x one day a week and a normal diet for the other days!

What’s to lose in trying something else?

Thanks for clarifying!
