I'm going for a repeat blood test next week for my thyroid, 6 weeks ago I got tested for, thyroid, livid, cholestorol, liver, kidney, when I phoned this morning the receptionist has advised only thyroid has been ticked on request form. Any suggestions on what to request. I'm on 25mg levothydoxine. Last 2 days I keep getting heart flutters. My reading was still high last test, abnormal.

Blood test request advice
Hi
You need to make sure when you have your thyroid blood test it includes TSH, T4, & T3.
GP's are obsessed with TSH only and often will only test that. T3 is very important to test as well, but, the GP's don't think it is.
Did you get your antibodies tested in the end (thyroglobulin & peroxide) as per advice from another member on here two months ago?. This would confirm if you have an auto immune disease (Hashimoto's).
If you are still on 25mcg of levo that is a very small dosage to be on, and normally that dosage is for elderly patients or people with heart conditions.
You need to be increasing your levo by 25mcg every six weeks and repeat the process until your TSH is 1 or below, T3 & T4 is in the higher figure of the blood test range.
Bloods to be taken as early in the morning as possible before 9am, don't take your levo before the bloods, drink water only before and no eating. This is a tip that we pass on here and there is no need to mention this to your GP, Nurse etc.
Why? well first thing in the morning your TSH is always higher and this enables patients to obtain that much needed increase of levo.
Hopefully, your vitamins have all be tested as well? Obtain your blood results from your surgery (the official copies) don't accept they are normal.
Best Wishes
