Help with results, please...

Hi everyone,

These are my latest labs on 2.25 grain of NT:

TSH = 0.18

FT4 = 10 (9-19)

FT3 = 3.11 (2.89 - 4.88)

Total cholesterol - high, LDL - high. Would I be right to say this is full-blown hypo? I have dry skin that changes to oily, very tired, went from insomnia to sleeping from exhaustion and being fatigued big time, need sugar to keep me going, hair is dry etc.

I was on 2.5 10 weeks ago with these labs:

TSH = 0.007

FT4 = 12.6 (9-19)

FT3 = 5.18 (2.63-5.7)

Felt okay, apart from not sleeping great and some tiredness (I think I feel good with FT3 lower than 5.18). Then my endo said - still not sleeping well - reduce by 1/4 and everything went haywire.

There is no dosage between 2.25 and 2.5 Nature-Throid...tried adding 25mcg T4 to 2.25 grain NT, felt better energy-wise, but after 2 weeks got muscle twitches and full-blown insomnia, which went away after 2 days of zero NDT...help :(

I like your bloods better on the higher dose and I e always thought I slddp better on a higher dose. I'm in the middle of an experiment to lower my NDT and to be fair my FT3 was on the upper level 24 hours from last medication. Tried lowering every other day rather than dropping a quarter every day and felt awful so then went to 1.75, 1.75, 1.50 and felt really rough still but around that time was on very strong antibiotics and really struggling to fit them in so bloods dropped and may be not too bad but continuing with this till I see him as didn't think previously it was a representative exercise. I do think symptoms are creeping back in and I was surprised that dropping down a quarter makes such a difference! However he told me to drop the dose but the letter to my GP says to try to drop the dose so I will argue my case to keep more higher days.
