Switching from NDT to Levo and T3

Hi all I am currently taking thyrogold a 300 cap and a 150 cap however I still ache, slightly fatigued and weight is creeping up despite healthy gluten/dairy free diet. Resting heart rate 58-61. I can't afford to up my dose of thyrogold again so am thinking of going back to levo and adding some T3 that I have? Can I just switch from one to the other?

Yes - you can switch from one to another to approx dose you were already taking.

Check pulse/temp before beginning so you have a guideline and if either goes too high on changeover, drop back back a small amount. Sometimes we can feel quite hot but when temp is taken it is normal.

One of my symptoms of being hypo is hot flushes I never felt cold before diagnosis I still feel slightly under medicated but it's difficult to tweak dose on thyrogold because it's a capsule and it's expensive, I wear a fit bit so easy to monitor pulse must find my thermometer to check my temp. Hi Claire - I recently switched straight from your dose of Thyrogold to 150mcg T4 and 18.75mcg T3 and feel better.

btw anyone wanting Thyrogold, I have 2 recently imported and unopened 300mcg bottles which I no longer need. PM me if interested.

I haven't switched yet I realised the T3 I had is out of date, I also took a blood test and was over medicated so have reduced dose and seeing how I go? Figure I have to get my dose right before I give up on thyrogold?
