I have all of sudden gone hyperthyroid with reduction of Lexapro from 15mg down to 10mg. My t4 has been high for a month. I haven’t been stable on t4 meds or hyper since thyroidectomy in 2013.

Has anyone had to decrease t4 after decreasing Lexapro?
You can't be hyper if you have no thyroid. But, it could be that your levo is now more effective/better absorbed with less antidepression medication. How high is your FT4? Have you had your FT3 tested?
T4 been high past month. My shrink wanted to switch antidepressant based on a gene test. That’s when all labs went crazy. My t4 shot high and my calcium low. My parathyroids never recovered from thyroidectomy. My t3 and rt3 have always been normal. Reduced tirosint from 112mcg to 100mcg this week and starting to feel side effects
I also take magnesium, potassium, calcium and Natpara injection secondary to hypo parathyroid
I think you'd get more helpful replies if you post your actual results and ranges.
What are you feeling side-effects of? Or do you mean you're feeling hypo symptoms with the reduced dose?
My t4 last month was 1.74 and past week 1.55. Lab rages are different due to place of blood draw. Both were high. My tsh dropped form 3.9 to 1.9 within a week. I usually am more symptomatic with higher t4 even though tsh normal. My anxiety, insomnia, and sweating with higher t4. My endo wanted me to take two days off of tirosint Monday and Tuesday due to t4, losing 16 lbs in two weeks, rash, tremor, insomnia, erratic behavior. I reinstate tirosint on Wednesday @ 100mcg(down from 112mcg) and felt better. Today I feel like I may be going hyper due to pacing the floors and loose stool. My feet usually go numb though when I am hypo. I know I will have to wait to get levels tested at least two weeks but this has messed up my quality of life
Hello, what kind of side effects did you feel? When I was on escitalopram my ft4 goes down (from 22 to 15) so yes, i think could happen, if you reduced the add the ft4 goes back to the top. On the other hand, Tirosint is absorbed better than other levothyroxine and may be a cause for modifying the analysis. I also take Tirosint +T3 for several months and I had to make some adjustments.
