Hello I'm looking for recommendations for a private Endo near Glasgow and even better would be one that deals with reproductive Endocrinology.
Quick background - diagnosed via my IVF clinic with Hashimotos. They asked me to get Endo referral but got a big fat no from NHS. Told that GP could manage it fine. IVF clinic doesn't want to do another embryo transfer until Thyroid results are stable over a 3 month period. Just had 3rd month TSH and it had gone up from 2 (ideal for fertility purposes) to over 4. I don't understand what affects it when med dose been the same etc so have no idea what I can personally do to maintain at the 2 mark. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Also, supplementing with selenium l-selenomethionine 200mcg daily can also help reduce the antibodies, as can keeping TSH suppressed so you need to be on an adequate dose of Levo to do that.
What are your latest thyroid results - TSH, FT4 and FT3?
You can email Dionne at ThyroidUK for the list of thyroid friendly endos, see who you can travel to and then I would do 2 things
1) Ask on the forum for feedback on any that you can get to
2) Ring the endo's secretary and see if they are experienced in reproductive endocrinology
And you could change your thread title to include the fact that you are looking for a reproductive endocrinologist and doing IVF, that will attract the right people to read your post.
Thanks did ask Dionne but not many on there near me and the one in Edin off sick until Sep.
Not gone exclusively gluten free but have reduced. T4 was 15.6. Wouldn't check T3 even though I asked. That's my frustration with NHS and GP interaction.
