Is 3 hours of heat exposure enough time to destroy NDT medication's potency? Earlier this year, i think in May, two bottles of my NDT meds were delivered on a particularly hot day, something like 90-95 degrees as I recall. They were left there in the heat in my mailbox, though my mailbox is shaded by trees, for 3-4 hours. I am running out of my supply and wondering if these are ok for me to take or if they were likely compromised by the hot weather.

They may be all right but I think you should start taking them before you run out of your current supply and find out for certain.
According to verywellhealth web site levothyroxine, liothyronine and NDT should not be stored above 86 deg F as they can degrade. They should be kept out of light (hence dark glass bottle my NDT comes in) and away from moisture too. Hope that helps.

Yes I saw that on mine too i was just wondering if anyone had personal experience with pushing those guidelines thanks
Fraid not but looks like my fridge storage could be quite a bad idea too 😱
I woukd think fridge is better than extreme heat.
You could put a thermometer with max and min recording in your cupboard if you get those temps again and see what it logs if it is below 86 you ought to be ok although it will not be identical conditions of course. I get the impression it is the moisture and condensation of the fridge getting into the NDT rather than the temperature per say that makes fridge storage a bad idea I have done it for 5 years and I seem to be ok on it!
