Hiatus hernia

Hi everyone, any ideas how I can convince my doctor to refer me for an operation on my hiatus hernia. Trying to heal my gut to avoid more autoimmune problems and the medication is not helping. My doctor is simply not responding to my request and is insistent on prescribing ppi's which we know inhibits the absorption of in my case vitamins and levothyroxine. Anyone else had these issues

My husband had you problem and they wouldn’t opp because they said it was a very dangerous operation , he learnt to live with it,

You'll find Youtube videos showing various techniques to achieve the same result. If one method doesn't work, try another one. Search for "hiatal hernia" as well as "hiatus hernia" to get the maximum number of search results.

I think your husband was being fobbed off. There are various ways of dealing with a hiatus hernia (or hiatal hernia in the US) according to this link, and the simplest method doesn't sound dangerous at all :

Thanks for all your input, Humanbean' s link I so informative. We sufferer's just keep on learning through this medium, its now my first port of call
