Itmight be good to ask her and find out. Do you remember which test she ordered?
Can you post the results and the ranges on here, so that we can see what we're talking about?

Your last post has lots of Replies ... please obtain copies of your results otherwise we are just guessing without relevant information. Sounds like Graves. Helvella explained all the anti-bodies to you in your last post ... please help us to help you
I think she may mean 'Autoimmune Thyroid Disease'. If so this is because you have thyroid antibodies in your blood. The commonest form of hypothyroidism because the antibodies attack your gland and wax and wane until you are hypo but treatment is the same. i.e. levothyroxine starting at 50mcg and after a blood test every six weeks an increase of 25mcg till TSH is 1 or lower.
Can you get a print-out from the surgery of your results, with the ranges and put them on a post for comments. Ranges are important for members to comment.
Also going gluten-free can help reduce the attack of the antibodies on the thyroid gland.
She still hasn’t put me in any medication only the beta blockers until I see the consultant in October, I have to have another blood test in 2 weeks then go and see her again to see if they have gone up, she mentioned that the medication would be Carbimazole I said to her that I’d joined this forum and was a bit wary of the medication as I’ve seen it makes quite a few people unwell. Should I be worried with the side effects? I suffer with allergies anti inflammatory medicines which result in anaphylactic shock a little bit worried to say the least, do people have bad side effects
As said, you need a copy of test results, with ranges (figures in brackets). Legally you have a right to a free copy, the receptionist should be able to print one out for you.
It does seem as if you have auto-immune thyroiditis (the official UK name) or Hashimoto's thyroiditis. That means that your immune system goes a bit wrong and starts attacking your thyroid as if it's foreign. So your thyroid doesn't produce enough hormone most of the time.
I think beta blockers affect thyroid hormone levels, so you need advice about that. If you can't talk to the doctor soon, you could ask your pharmacist - much easier to see than the doctor!
