Belly fat?

I’m just about getting used to the fact I’m a lot fatter than I used to be. I’m not happy about it, but I’m accepting it, although I keep trying to do something about it. But I’m really not comfortable with my belly, it seems that it’s grown 10 times more than any other part of me. I look pregnant!

Is anybody else struggling with belly fat or does anyone have a solution, apart from a tummy tuck, which to be honest is looking more & more appealing, if only I was rich 😜

haha, sorry to laugh but my 9 year old calls me jelly belly, it's so frustrating when I've always been a 12 -14 now 20 heading slowly towards 22 & I'm only 5' 2" :-(

Is it a more bloated feeling which makes you look pregnant? Looking back I recall mentioning to my GP once about my pregnant look but just being dismissed. I was also a very windy person with rather unpleasant poops which I just thought was me and normal. Having been diagnosed Hashi / Hypo and adopting a gluten free diet all of that has gone...in fact after YEARS of all of the above, it all disappeared within 2 weeks of going gf. On the couple of occasions when I have accidently been 'glutened' those issues have returned within an hour or 2 but have gone by the next day.

So if you are a Hashi / Hypo you may find going GF helps you too or maybe try it anyway for a month and see how you feel.

X

Thanks Janey, it's something I've been considering but need to do some more research as I wouldn't know where to start. I'll make a concerted effort to look into it :-)

I started by printing off the food list from the cealiec website and sticking it to my kitchen cupboard. Check labels for wheat, barley and rye and avoid. Trust me...I found it really daunting to start with but it soon becomes easy and second nature. You can do it 😊. I would never go back x

Have you any resent results with ranges you can post? Sorry I can't read your post on my phone. Not being correctly medicated can increase the measurements as well.

I have a BH home kit ready to test but the lancets are rubbish. I've ordered some better ones from ebay & once I've received I'll be testing & posting on here.

I was felling pretty fed up yesterday hence the post - none of my summer clothes from last year fit anymore!
