For some people (me for one) it never seems to fully resolve, despite optimum thyroid treatment and a really, really low sugar and carb diet. I find as soon as I 'treat myself' to a something like a potato, biscuit, slice of cake etc. it rears up again. I keep OTC doses of fluconazole in the medicine stash and take one on an as needed basis. Seems to do the trick until the next time I stupidly think I've outwitted it, have a little carbie treat... and off we go again :( I've just accepted that I'll probably have to eat this way for the rest of my life now.

Thanks stitchfairy

I’m beginning to think this way too !

Can I ask, do you have any reaction from taking fluconazole?

Not really, I seem to tolerate it very well. I usually take one capsule at night, abecause I think it has a slight muscle relaxing effect on me which is helpful for sleeping! I know people talk about the 'herx' effect but I've not really expereinced that.

I read on here last night that Boron kills candida & parasites in the gut; and Food Grade Diacotomous Earth removes parasites in the gut. All in tablet form and can be bought off Amazon.

I've never tried boron so would be interested to hear how you get on if you try it.
