Interesting survey. I was especially interested in this comment, "Prospective clinical trials of combination therapy have not been conducted that have specifically recruited dissatisfied patients or patients with the lowest circulating T3 levels. No trials have incorporated assessment of deiodinase or thyroid hormone transporter polymorphisms into their primary design. Retrospective data suggest that patient preference may be linked to a patient’s complement of thyroid hormone metabolism-associated polymorphisms (42,43)."
