Hi,thanks for your reply,I feel constantly tired and have joint pain, periods irregular for over 6 months,my skin is dry and my hair has been getting thinner and thinner. The lab comments say no action was required,to retest my thyroid in 12 months. I have a prescription for the folate to take a tablet for 3 months.
Hi Diana I had similar Tsh and T4 and as I was suffering severe fatigue and other symptoms she diagnosed me with under active thyroid and I now take 100mg thyroxine and my TSH is within range and T4 has increased. The thyroxine definitely helps and I could also tell a difference in my mental health ( I also suffer from depression). This GP is the best I’ve ever known so thorough. I would argue that as you have symptoms and an over the range TSH your body is struggling and Thyroxine would help. They’re are many knowledgeable people on this site hopefully they will comment. Try another GP if you don’t get anywhere . Good luck x
