Third week into my trial of T3, it's been very up and down but generally I don't feel any better than on T4 only. Tiredness has been particularly bad today so for my afternoon dose I took 10mcg instead of my usual 5 (taking 5mcg twice a day alongside Levo 100mcg instead of 75mcg as instructed).
I can't remember the last time I cried as I don't generally cry but sitting here feeling very down with tears rolling down my face and there is no obvious reason for it other than being fed up of this whole thyroid journey. Just wondering it it might be the T3 making me feel like this?

I wouldn't think it is T3 as it is quick acting and goes directly into the T3 receptor cells but I know quite a few split doses.
Was your stomach empty when you took both T4 and T3 as food can interfere with the uptake of thyroid hormones. Try taking T3/T4 together and see if you improve, on an empty stomach with one full glass of water and wait an hour before eating. I am assuming you also fasted before taking both.
Thanks Shaws, yes take my T4 and T3 together at 6am don't have breakfast till 8am earliest. Take my 2nd dose of T3 at 2pm making sure I've had lunch before 1pm. Don't know what's up with me today I'm a mess
Thanks Shaws I posted results here before and some members felt I had a conversion problem, this was before I started the T3. Yes hopefully tomorrow is a better day.
Hang in there, there are so many ups and downs on our journey, you are not alone in this. Can you talk to a friend or getting out for a short stroll might help. Do some mindfulness or meditation. Watch comedy on tv. I was helped by a herbalist who gave me some tea to take when I felt low. Trouble is you dont want to mask symptoms that your endo will pick up on. Big hugs x
Thanks so much for cheering me up with your kind reply Dramlouie. I had to pull myself together my little 3 year old saw me crying and the concern on her face made me snap out of it.
Sometimes its good to just let it all out. Glad she has helped although you are now bottling it up. Keep busy and get outdoors, get grounded and take an epsom salt bath or foot bath. You might have to do it away from your thyroid, not sure on that one but I have one before bed and I sleep well and it relaxes me. Could be you are just an overwhelmed Mum with a 3 year old, I know how exhausting that was, mine are 19 and 20 and still exhausting. Problems have turned into adult problems, jobs, money etc!! xx
