Hello everyone, can anyone help to explain a TPO antibodies blood result with a number 7?, Also told results of test was low reading for TPO antibodies. Can anyone tell me what does "low" actually amount to as regards Hashimoto's.
Any answers much welcome.

We usually see here the "range" for TPO antibodies as <34 so if your range is the same then yours are very low. I have tested my antibodies many times over the years, they always come back somewhere between 6 and 13, so they do fluctuate slightly but they're not high enough to be a problem. I also have low TG antibodies so as I have no problems and they've never been anywhere near the top of the range I don't consider myself to have Hashi's.
If you repeat the test in future and they remain that low each time then you could consider you don't have Hashi's but if they go near the top or over then Hashi's is likely.
I’m a newbie to, my antibodies are 1131 the range is 0-115 so in my case I have Hashimotos. But I only know that thanks to SeaSideSusie! My Doctor said knowing would make no difference and refused me the test! I’ve gone gluten free after advice from SSS.
