Hi I realised that I only posted on here when things were bleak, however -touch wood- I’m doing well on the Graves train lately. After a failed remission after my block and replace treatment I’m stopping on carbimazole for the long term. This medication agrees with me and works! I have energy and a good mind set despite other the health problems my husband is now facing. I feel strong enough to cope and be a rock for him like he has been for me. I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to respond to my messages in need and all the wisdom that has been shared. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Feeling ok 👌
Thank you for posting while feeling well. I have been concerned that I was only getting the bad side of stories and that it gives a false impression of the success of treatments. I too have Graves and am on Carbimazole (for 8 months now) and feel good. I hope for remission and a reduction in dose from my current 10mg. I'd be interested to hear other positive stories
I first came off block and replace after 9 months and had to go back on it after 3 months. I was resigned to being on it the rest of my life. After being on it for 8 years I went hypo and couldn’t get my levels right so stopped all medication. I am 6 months drug free and very well.
If my next blood test is ok I am being discharged from my endo.
I have no problem going back on the carbimazole if things change.
Good luck to you in the future.
I have no negative things to say about the carbimazole.
I too would like to thank the community for being here to answer the odd questions I did have.
