First thing is, do you have any actual blood test results? if not will need to get hold of copies. You are legally entitled to printed copies of your blood test results
UK GP practices are supposed to offer online access for blood test results. Ring and ask if this is available and apply to do so if possible, if it is you may need enhanced access to see blood results.
In reality many GP surgeries do not have blood test results online yet
Alternatively ring receptionist and request printed copies of results. Allow couple of days and then go and pick up. They can make nominal charge for printing but many will do so for free (£10 max and can not charge at all after May 25th 2018)
How much Levothyroxine are you taking ?
Can you add most recent results and ranges for TSH, FT3 and FT4, plus have you also had thyroid antibodies tested
Also helpful if had vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 tested. Add results and ranges if you have them
Low vitamin levels are common and can cause symptoms. Low iron especially
As can being on too small a dose of Levothyroxine
If you have high thyroid antibodies this is Hashimoto's also called autoimmune thyroid disease. Low vitamins are especially common
If you have recent results add them here, if not come back with new post once you have them
Hi, Fairyeyes, I went to my GP with Tight Ankles and feeling very unwell, Could not put my finger on it, Have been Ill from Last December, it started Then and I could not get well until End Of February, Begining of March, when I had a pre-op ready for hand surgery, They performed an ECG and the nurse said Oh? I asked what was wrong, She told me that My Heart was Tired, I did not give it another Thought, The Day After My Surgery, I was in the Worst Pain Ever, My Psoriasis had Attacked My Suture line, I fell over 4 times that month, So we come to June, I am still unwell, My Ankles were tight, My Stamina gone, was coughing, a lot, I went to my Gp I told him what was going on, I told him that my ECG was not right, So he said it could be Heart Failure, I thought Well Thanks, Anyway he had an ECG Blood tests, and an Xray, When the time came for results I thought no problem No news is good news, That was the end I had a Phone Call which told me I was in Heart failure, there are blips on my ECG, and my BNP was significantly raised, I am to see Cardiology Tomorrow, Wish me Luck?
