Spondylosis and Thyroid ?

Hi all, so I've just found out I have cervical spondylosis and oesteophytic, is there a link between this and Thyroid troubles including voice hoarseness? 💟

Did you get vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 tested yet

Also ask for calcium and magnesium tests

Not yet my husband just been made redundant so things a bit tight lately, Drs won't entertain me now as waiting on specialist appointment. I will get it done though didn't realise that could cause these problems.

I know my ferritin in range but low at 30

Worth bearing in mind that Calcium and magnesium tests don't aways show low when you have a deficiency.

I bathe in Epsom salts every night would that not boost my magnesium levels if I was deficient?

Hi Ruth

I have been diagnosed with the same condition and just had to hand in my notice at work as job was too physical and am waiting to see a muscoskeletal specialist.. I have hashimoto disease.

I'm not yet diagnosed but bloods seem to point to secondary hypothyroidism, it just seems like everything blown up at once.. do you get pain relief for yours and what kind is it? Sorry to hear you've had to give up work must be awful to be that bad, mine is bearable at the moment I hope it doesn't get worse.

It was the type of work i was doing that aggravated it, heavy lifting and under pressure too. I have started looking for lighter work. I dont take anything for the pain, just resting up and waiting to see the specialist.
